MTBI Handbook

Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Survivor's Handbook is an easily understood 28-page booklet that will help you identify whether you suffer from this injury and what to do to get better. It will also help you, your family, friends, your business associates and your care providers understand exactly what you are experiencing.

Info on Donating:

The Brain Trust is dedicated to helping those who have suffered a MTBI and are in dire need of emergency assistance for essential survival needs. The Brain Trust also promotes education about brain injury.

While organizations exist to assist those with severe brain injuries, little help is available for those with mild/moderate traumatic brain injuries. Often these people just "fall through the Social Service safety net".  That is why The Brain Trust, a non-profit organization, was founded.

Our staff volunteers their time so that YOUR donation has the maximum impact on those we are able to help.

The Brain Trust provides:

  • Emergency Assistance
  • Public Education Programs
  • Resource Referral
  • Speakers' Bureau

Since inception, The Brain Trust has served hundreds of brain injury survivors.
From January 1, 2004 through November 3, 2004, The Brain Trust has made grants to 27 beneficiaries for basic necessities. Thirteen of the requests were for assistance with rent and/or mortgage payments only. The remaining fourteen were for emergency help with a combination of housing expense as well as food and/or utilities.
In 2003 The Brain Trust granted assistance to 26 beneficiaries.

So, please know that your donation goes directly to helping those with a MTBI since we are an ALL VOLUNTEER board with a very low overhead. Your donation whether it be a monthly contribution or a one time experience is so vitally important. We could not continue our mission if it weren't for YOU! So thank you, again.
